Missing Abducted Gen Z Activist Found Dead Dumped In River, Legs Tied With Dog Chain

Shock and sadness have hit the country after a young Gen Z activist who had been reported missing for days was found dead, her body dumped in a river under disturbing circumstances.

The woman, who had been actively involved in recent youth-led movements, went missing earlier this week after leaving her home to attend a meeting with fellow activists.

Her friends and family launched a desperate search when her phone went off and she could no longer be traced.

According to police, her body was discovered early Thursday morning by residents who had gone to fetch water from the river.

Witnesses said they were shocked to find the body floating near the riverbank with her legs tied using a dog chain. The scene quickly attracted a crowd as locals struggled to come to terms with the horrifying sight.

Police officers arrived at the scene and moved the body to the county mortuary as investigations began.

Preliminary reports indicate that the victim might have been tortured before being killed, though the exact cause of death will be determined after a post-mortem examination.

Family members broke down in tears at the mortuary, saying they had been praying to find her alive. They described her as a brave young woman who stood up for justice and was deeply loved in her community.

Human rights groups and youth movements have condemned the killing, calling it a cruel act meant to silence the voice of young people speaking against injustice.

They demanded a speedy investigation and urged the government to protect activists who are increasingly becoming targets of threats and disappearances.

As the country mourns yet another life cut short, questions continue to rise about the safety of young activists and the growing cases of mysterious abductions. The community has called for calm as police pursue the killers and promise justice for the slain Gen Z activist.

Her death has left a deep scar in the hearts of many who believed in her dream for a better Kenya.
