A quiet village in Aldai, Nandi County, was left in shock after a 41-year-old man allegedly killed a 48-year-old casual laborer over claims of an affair with his wife.

The incident happened in Kapkio village, where the suspect reportedly attacked the victim with a sharp object late at night.

According to reports, the suspect had earlier warned the man to stop seducing his wife or face serious consequences.

Despite the warning, the victim, who was working as a laborer in a neighbor’s compound, was allegedly found in another compromising situation.

Sources close to the matter said the suspect went to the victim’s house under the cover of darkness and hacked him to death.

He was said to be from the Ukambani region and had been living in the area for work.

Following the incident, the suspect's wife reportedly fled to an unknown location, fearing for her life.

Locals say she was afraid her husband might turn on her as well.

As tension rose in the village, angry residents attempted to take justice into their own hands.

However, police officers from Nandi South quickly intervened and arrested the suspect before the situation worsened.

He is now in custody and is expected to appear in court soon.

The tragic incident has sparked widespread debate over jealousy, domestic issues, and rising cases of deadly confrontations linked to suspected affairs.

Residents now call for calm as investigations continue.
