ODM-UDA will have the say on whether President William Ruto gets a second term in 2027 or not, Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo says.
Maanzo, a member of ODM, says that his bosses in the party will determine what happens in 2027 basing on if they choose to unite of disperse.
He argues that Kenyans are suffering and looking up to ODM and his team to save them, from among others, Ruto's taxes.
But he also states that this will be determine by whether the group sticks together and wins or gets divided and let's Ruto sail through.
"They must remain united and committed to the course. Any iota of a split or betrayal will mean that President William Ruto wins the 2027 general election. ODM must be smart," the politician said in an article in The Star on Thursday.
He at the same time stressed on the need for ODM to keep off the race in 2027, saying that it is time to do things differently if ODM is to record better results.
He noted that it is time to come up with a winning lineup, adding that they cannot stick to the same strategy and expect a different outcome.
"ODM must field a winning line-up. We cannot do the same thing year in, year out and expect different results. ODM must be honest with each other and agree on the candidate who will win the seat for us," he further writes.
