Rueben Muriithi, the Mbeere North by-election aspirant using the Alliance for Real Change Party, shocked Mbeere North locals and Kenyans at large when he declared Wamuthende Tosha in what appeared to be a mistake during a live TV debate.
In a video clip seen and verified by this writer, obtained from the Inooro TV YouTube live feed, Muriithi, who was responding to Newton Karish (of DP) after Karish said he would push for the abolishment of the NG-CDF to make education free, said that it cannot be possible.
Muriithi, in his message, accused Karish of being a professional liar and ended up telling Mbeere North locals to elect leaders like the UDA Party’s candidate Leonard Wamuthende instead of selling his own bid.
"I want to say that I will fight poverty in Mbeere North. Poverty will end when water is connected to Mbeere North residents.
"There are people saying they want to end bursaries because CDF does not work. For me, I want to say that when I am elected, I will immediately join the government, and that is why I am saying Wamuthende Tosha," Rueben Muriithi told the debate moderators.
