Magdalene Nduku, a resident of Kitui, Kenya, has spoken out about a disturbing event that occurred on the night before her husband's burial.
According to her, her in-laws engaged in unusual and distressing rituals, which added to her grief during an already difficult time.
Nduku’s husband had passed away after battling an illness that he could not recover from.
As she began making arrangements for his burial, she found herself isolated and without support from her in-laws.
She recalled that during her husband’s illness, she repeatedly asked his relatives to visit him in the hospital. Despite their promises to do so, they never showed up.
To her shock, they only appeared after his death, and she noticed that they seemed oddly cheerful at the news of his passing.
Nduku explained that her relationship with her in-laws had always been strained. They had never fully accepted her or her children, often excluding them from family matters.
This strained relationship became even more apparent after her husband's death, as they continued to treat her and her children poorly.
One of the most troubling incidents occurred the night before the burial. Nduku described how her mother-in-law invited a group of people, whom she referred to as sorcerers, to their home.
That night, around 11 p.m., a goat was brought to the homestead and slaughtered.
The blood from the goat was collected in a basin and then taken to the gravesite where her husband was to be buried the following day.
The sorcerers poured the blood on the grave and took some soil from the site back into the house.
Nduku and her children were terrified by what they witnessed. They chose to stay in their house, peering through the window at the eerie scene unfolding outside.
They kept their lights off, leaving only the TV light on, to avoid being noticed. As the rituals continued, Nduku and her children joined hands and prayed fervently.
She believes that their prayers were answered when the sorcerers eventually left their homestead.
