The Makadara Member of Parliament has claimed that this is the ODM party, alleging that as a result, one has to vie through ODM to stand a chance.
He stated this on Thursday, while declaring his own bid for the seat through the Orange party and declaring readiness to battle it out with the others.
"Anyone seeking the governor seat must do it though the ODM ticket just like I am doing. I ready to battle it out with the others as I believe I am fit for the job," he told members of the press in Nairobi on Thursday.
Aladwa admitted that there are those who are unhappy with his decision, but stated that such won't discourage him from vying for the post.
"I know there are those who are not in support of my declaration but you can't be loved by everybody. Let the work begin."
