Speculations Sparks As Pres Ruto Reveals What He Will Do To This Region If Given Few Votes, Details

President William Ruto has reassured residents of Kasikeu in Makueni County that his administration will not sideline any region based on voting patterns, pledging to work with all Kenyans regardless of political affiliations.

Speaking during his tour of the area, the President emphasized that government development projects would be distributed fairly across the country.

Ruto announced that the government will allocate Ksh70 million for the construction of a modern market in Kasikeu, a project he said will uplift local traders and transform the town into a vibrant business hub.

He noted that the new market will create hundreds of job opportunities for residents and strengthen the region’s economy through improved trade and access to goods.

The Head of State also assured residents that his administration remains focused on empowering rural communities through infrastructure, education, and agricultural initiatives.

He reiterated that he would continue visiting Ukambani, even though the region has not traditionally supported him politically.

“Hata mkinipatia kura kidogo, mimi nitakuja hapa,” said Ruto, meaning, “Even if you give me few votes, I will still come here.”

He explained that his leadership is guided by a principle of inclusivity, insisting that national unity can only be achieved when all communities feel valued and involved in the country’s development agenda.

Local leaders and residents welcomed the President’s pledge, saying the new market would significantly improve the area’s economic fortunes.

They also urged the government to prioritize roads, water projects, and youth empowerment programs to complement the planned investment.

President Ruto concluded his visit by reaffirming that his administration’s bottom-up economic model would ensure that no part of Kenya is left behind in the journey toward prosperity.
