President William Ruto has criticized opposition leaders, saying many of them focus on spreading fear instead of offering real solutions for the country.

Speaking on Friday during a political rally, Ruto described these leaders as “prophets of doom” who warn about problems but never present practical ideas to solve them.

Ruto emphasized that Kenya faces serious challenges, but addressing them requires vision and creativity, not just criticism.

“We have a problem in this country. Some leaders don’t have a vision. They only predict disaster without giving a plan to fix it,” he said.

The president argued that focusing solely on pointing out issues without solutions only stalls progress and creates unnecessary panic among citizens.

The president highlighted his government’s ongoing efforts to tackle economic issues, improve infrastructure, and expand social programs.

He insisted that meaningful leadership is about developing policies and programs that make a difference in people’s lives.

“Leadership is not just about talking; it is about doing, about making things better for everyone,” he added.

Ruto’s remarks come amid heightened political tensions, as the opposition campaigns aggressively ahead of upcoming elections.

The president warned that negative rhetoric and fear-mongering could distract the nation from real development priorities.

He called on all leaders to bring forward ideas that can lift the country rather than just pointing out what is wrong.

“Kenya needs ideas, not just complaints. We need solutions, not fear,” Ruto said.

He urged opposition figures to move beyond criticism and contribute meaningfully to debates on national issues.

The president concluded by asserting that citizens should support leaders who offer practical solutions and reject those who thrive on predicting doom without contributing to progress.
