The father of a 13-year-old girl found dead in Suba North constituency has opened up about his grief and the struggles his family has faced.

The young girl, a student at Kamsama Junior Secondary School, went missing for two days before her body was discovered in a nearby thicket.

Her death left the family and the local community devastated.

The father, who is disabled and has only one functioning arm, described the loss as unbearable.

“Only God knows the pain I feel. They have killed my daughter and my spirit,” he said, struggling to hold back tears.

The girl was his only daughter among four children. Teachers described her as bright and helpful, often assisting other students in higher grades.

Her father recalled how she frequently promised to support him and build a better life for the family once she completed her education.

“She always said she would make me proud. I never thought I would lose her so soon,” he said.

The father also shared how a past work accident in Russia left him unable to work as he used to.

Since then, his daughter and wife had taken on small jobs to provide for him.

“My wife and my child worked so hard to make sure I did not go hungry. They gave everything for me,” he said.

The family has called on the authorities to investigate the case quickly and bring the perpetrators to justice.

They are determined that the crime should not go unpunished. “We want those responsible to face the law,” the father said.

Neighbors and local leaders have expressed shock and condemned the incident, calling for stronger protection for children.

The case has highlighted the vulnerability of young students and the importance of community vigilance in ensuring their safety.

Authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing and urged anyone with information to assist in identifying the suspects.
