Speaking on Friday, as reported by one of the media houses, Kasipul MP aspirant Philip Aroko laid blame on Homa Bay governor Gladys Wanga, accusing her of causing unrest in Kasipul ahead of the coming by-election.

Aroko said that Wanga had been involved in creating tension among residents and that her actions were threatening the peace of the region.

He insisted that the people of Kasipul want peace and fair leadership, not intimidation or violence.

In a statement he made, Aroko called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and the National Police Service (NPS) to take quick action against Governor Wanga. He said arresting her would bring peace to Kasipul and stop the ongoing political tension.

“The DCI and police must act now. We cannot have peace if those causing chaos are still free. Let them do their work so our people can live peacefully,” he said.

Aroko also promised that once he wins the upcoming election, he will work hard to solve the problems that Kasipul residents have been facing for many years. He said he has a clear plan to bring change and development to the area.

“When I win, I will make sure the issues that have been affecting our people for decades come to an end. I will make it happen,” he added confidently.

The aspirant further said that the people of Kasipul have suffered for a long time due to poor leadership and political fights.

He described himself as the final hope for the residents, saying he will bring unity and progress.

“Our people have suffered enough. I am their hope, and I will not let them down. That’s why I am contesting — to bring victory and peace to Kasipul,” Aroko said.
