Itumbi Reveals Plan To Assassinate Ruto Was Absolutely Real, It Was Planned To Happened In This Way

Dennis Itumbi has reignited claims that a 2019 plot to assassinate then–Deputy President William Ruto was real, insisting that he possesses video evidence and court records supporting his claim.

Speaking during an interview on the Iko Nini podcast on October 9, 2025, Itumbi maintained that the meeting at a Nairobi hotel, where senior government officials discussed plans to stop Ruto’s presidential ambitions, was not a fabrication.

“It is absolutely factual. I have videos. I stood in court.,” Itumbi said.

Itumbi stated that the PS behind the assassination plot made a chilling statement referencing the late Professor George Saitoti, the former Internal Security Minister who died in a 2012 helicopter crash.

“The former PS stood in that meeting and said, ‘Do not worry yourself about this campaign about the Deputy President becoming President. We are going to do everything possible, including what we did to Saitoti.’ He said it. I said it in court,” Itumbi claimed.
