A cloud of sorrow has engulfed a family in Laikipia County after their 20-year-old daughter, Risper Faith, was found dead in a local lodge under unclear circumstances.

According to reports, Risper left home at around noon and called her father, asking him to send her KSh 200 so she could go to town.

That simple request turned out to be her final conversation with him.

Her father later became worried when she failed to return home that evening, saying it was unusual since she was always punctual and responsible.

The following morning, he began searching for her, visiting some of her favourite places, but she was nowhere to be found.

Feeling anxious, he decided to file a missing person’s report.

On his way to the police station, he stopped at a nearby mortuary and hospital to check for any unidentified bodies, hoping not to find his daughter there.

Sadly, his worst fears came true when he was informed that a body matching her description had been brought in the previous night.

It was later established that Risper had checked into a lodge with a man believed to be her 21-year-old baby daddy.

Lodge attendants told police that when they went to check on the pair two hours later, they found her dead while the man had vanished.

Details shared by Usikimye revealed that the lodge did not record their names or verify identification, and the CCTV cameras were reportedly not working at the time.

Her father also claimed that Risper had previously filed an assault case against the same man, who is now missing.

The grieving family is now pleading for justice and urging the police to arrest the suspect to uncover the truth behind her tragic death.

May her soul rest in peace.
