Advocate of the High Court Harrison Kinyanjui has launched a blistering attack on ODM leader Raila Odinga, accusing him and his party of abandoning their opposition role and aligning too closely with President William Ruto’s administration.
He claimed that ODM has failed to offer any distinct alternative to UDA, instead becoming complicit in the very issues it once criticized.
Kinyanjui argued that by joining hands with the Kenya Kwanza government, Raila and his party have lost credibility among Kenyans who expected them to stand firmly against corruption, economic mismanagement, and governance failures.
He cited the rising cost of living, disruption of key sectors such as education and health, and the recent handling of youth-led protests as examples of failures that ODM is now indirectly associated with.
According to Kinyanjui, this political alignment has eroded whatever trust Kenyans once had in Raila, making his potential 2027 candidacy appear hollow.
His remarks add to the growing skepticism surrounding the opposition’s role in the broad-based government formed months ago.
