Governor Mutula Kilonzo Junior has finally spoken out about his controversial relationship with a woman who later accused him of neglecting their child.

In a sworn witness statement, Mutula admitted that he paid Sh150,000 to Victoria Ndunge Musyoka to terminate a pregnancy, only for her to later give birth and claim he was the father.

Mutula revealed that he paid the money after learning of the pregnancy but was shocked when Victoria carried it to full term.

The Makueni Governor stated that the child was later found to resemble another man who had allegedly been in a long-term relationship with the woman.

According to court documents, Mutula and Victoria became embroiled in a child upkeep dispute after he reportedly stopped providing support for the girl, who is now three years old.

He maintained that the woman used the child to extort him and to destroy his reputation through misleading social media posts.

In his affidavit, the governor explained that members of Victoria’s family had privately told him the baby was not his.

They allegedly provided electronic and written proof that the real father was someone else.

Mutula also questioned the timeline of the pregnancy, saying the child was born only 24 weeks after their last encounter. “It was impossible for me to be the biological father,” he argued, pointing out that a full-term pregnancy lasts 40 weeks.

His lawyer and sister, Kethi Kilonzo, supported the claim, stating that Victoria had failed to present medical documents or allow a DNA test.

The baby, born on May 4, 2013, at Nairobi Hospital, was reportedly revealed to Mutula through a text message as he attended his late father’s funeral service.
