Speaking on Sunday, 12 October 2025, the ODM legislator noted that the ODM party leader will be the chairperson of the coalition which Ruto would use to secure his second term.
“I foresee a scenario where Raila will support Ruto in the 2027 general elections; in my assessment, he may be the chairperson of the coalition which Ruto would use to secure his second term,” Ojienda said.
In addition, the vocal lawmaker emphasized that the DCP Party leader Rigathi Gachagua will encounter a resounding defeat at the hands of President William Ruto in 2027 presidential election.
"Rigathi’s camp will emerge second in the election, in my assessment, but he will have very many Members of Parliament in both Houses." he noted
However, despite defeat, Ojienda stated that Gachagua’s coalition of parties will end up having many elected members of parliament in both Houses.
"While he is ineligible to run for office following his impeachment, his party would get almost all of the parliamentary seats in the greater Mt Kenya region.” he added
