Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has received hefty promises from the Broad-Based government ahead of the 2027 General Election.

According to Taifa Leo, ODM leader Raila Odinga is among those persuading Kalonzo to join President William Ruto's camp with promises of a senior government position.

Kalonzo has also been promised for fully support to run for presidency in 2032.

Mr Musyoka now finds himself in a complex political situation once again as he prepares to either run for president or decide who will ascend to power in 2027.

However, Kalonzo is facing intense pressure from two rival sides: there are those who want him to support Ruto's bid for a second term, and an opposition faction urging him to support another opposition candidate.

Those eyeing the position from the opposition include Martha Karua, Eugene Wamalwa, Fred Matiang’i and Gachagua himself.

However, Kalonzo's supporters say he is the only one who can defeat President Ruto in the first round.

Kitui Senator, Enoch Wambua, insists that Kalonzo is the most suitable candidate to lead Kenya, citing his qualities and experience in national leadership.

Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua in September asked President William Ruto to engage him directly if he wants to reach Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.

Gachagua said he had been chosen as the spokesperson for the Gikuyu, Embu, Meru, and Akamba (GEMA) communities.
