Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai has launched a blistering attack on politicians who are allegedly complaining that the political landscape for 2027 is becoming "very difficult," mocking those who won their seats based on their stance on Raila Odinga rather than on actual issues.

Robert Alai, in a sharp social media post on Monday evening, claimed that two specific groups of leaders are now panicking about their re-election chances.

He wrote, "Those who get elected because Baba raised their hands or they hated Baba are now complaining that 'siasa ya 2027 ni ngumu sana'," which translates to "the politics of 2027 are very difficult."

The outspoken politician argued that these leaders built their entire careers on a single, simplistic strategy: either blind loyalty to Raila Odinga or a campaign based purely on opposing him.

With the political ground now shifting, he suggests they have no real substance to offer the electorate and are finding it hard to campaign.

Alai advised these struggling politicians to abandon personality-based politics and adopt a more mature, issue-based approach if they hope to survive the next election cycle. "Speak to the people and ask them what they want," Alai instructed.

The Kileleshwa legislator concluded with a firm call for a change in political strategy, urging his colleagues to focus on connecting with voters directly and building their campaigns on tangible policies.

"Get elected by campaigning on issues," he stated, implying that the era of riding on Raila Odinga's name—whether in support or opposition—is coming to an end.
